Continuing the legacy of the late state senator, Bettye Davis, The Alaska Black Caucus proudly presents the annual Bettye Davis African American Summit. This event brings together the Black community and other people of color in conversation and learning about economics, justice, education, and health of Black Alaskans and the BIPOC community. The overall goal of the summit is to serve as the principal forum and voice for the Black community in addressing critical issues of public policy and government by providing information to policymakers and the general public, as well as empowering Black Alaskans.
