Nominate an Alaskan Black Trailblazer
The Alaska Black Caucus is proud to recognize Alaskan Black Trailblazers—individuals who have served or continue to serve as pioneers and leaders in their fields. These exceptional individuals have broken new ground and made significant contributions that pave the way for others. Renowned for their innovative ideas, courage, and determination, they have challenged the status quo and inspired others through their accomplishments, serving as role models and showcasing what is possible, particularly in areas where barriers or underrepresentation persist. These trailblazers are or were at the forefront of social change, community development, and any effort that fosters progress and advancement.
Nominees will be celebrated in a specially produced vignette that will air on local television throughout February in honor of Black History Month.
To nominate an Alaskan Black Trailblazer, please provide the name of the individual along with a brief description of why they deserve this recognition in 750 words or less.
Nominations are due by September 30th of this year. We look forward to learning about the exceptional contributions of our community members!aAla
