Equity Center: The Alaska Black Caucus has been working towards establishing the Equity Center in downtown Anchorage. This center will provide a commercial kitchen, gathering space, below-market-rate office spaces, and co-working areas for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) communities. Community Conversations: The caucus regularly hosts Sunday community conversations on various racial issues, including policing, Black-owned businesses, and systemic racism. These events foster dialogue and awareness among Alaskans. Click here to view upcoming conversations.
Health Initiatives: The Health Committee of the Alaska Black Caucus is focused on promoting, protecting, and maintaining the health of Black Alaskans through advocacy, education, and research initiatives. Click here to learn more about the Health committee.
Partnerships and Fundraising: The caucus collaborates with community partners and has received support from organizations such as the Rasmuson Foundation to develop projects like the Equity Center. ABC also engaged in fundraising efforts to support our projects and programming, such as the Corene Davis Graham Cancer Telethon.
