The Education Committee is excited to sponsor the November 17th Community Conversation at 7:00 PM. Join us for a powerful conversation: “Black History is American History – Why Teaching Black History Is Important for all students?” This conversation hopes to shine a light on the importance of Black History being taught in public schools. This conversation will be moderated by co-chairs Lisa Mounds-Craft and Tina Johnson-Harris, with guest panelists from the Anchorage School District.
If you are interested in serving on the Education Committee, we meet on the 4th Thursday of every month at 6:30 PM via Zoom. Join us in sharing ideas and working towards educational equity. Due to the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays, the committee will reconvene in January.
