Join the Alaska Black Caucus and our panelists from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to discuss the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA), which empowers Black and other marginalized communities by giving them a voice in the banking and lending process. Through public participation in the CRA evaluation process, community members can hold banks accountable for meeting the credit needs of all residents and ensure that resources are allocated equitably. Overall, the CRA is important to the BIPOC community because it promotes financial equity, economic development, and community empowerment, ultimately working towards a more inclusive and just financial system for all.
